BBC News A former Cleveland Police officer, who received £800000 in compensation after being wrongfully jailed, is bidding to become a police commissioner. Sultan Alam, 48, was jailed for 18 months in 1996 for conspiracy to steal car parts, but was cleared in 2007. |
